A CRSS is a professional mental health provider who provides peer support services. Peer support is strengths-focused support provided on a level of equality by sharing personal experiences and empathizing with client experiences. That personal experience is sometimes referred to as the lived experience of having a mental health condition. A CRSS uses recovery tools to support clients and validate experiences to help clients direct their own recovery and achieve their goals.
Service Animals & Emotional Support Animals are Not The Same. Service Animals are covered by the ADA to bring into public establishments, Emotional Support Animals are not. Under Title II and Title III of the ADA, a service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. An emotional support dog may also perform tasks, but to be qualified as a service dog it would also need to meet the training requirements for public access. Set up a consultation to learn more if you are interested in having either of these types of working animals. NEVER purchase an online certification for a service animal, these are scams and not valid proof that your dog is a service dog.
Maybe...We can help you with the process of obtaining one or learning if your current pet might qualify. You will need to complete certain requirements to get the approval of your landlord to qualify your pet as an ESA.
